Full time Public Safety Officer
The City of Folly Beach is a small island located nine miles southeast of Charleston SC. There are approximately 2500 year-round residents with an abundance of visitors during our warm months. The City Council and Staff work together to create excellent working conditions and generous benefits. Currently, our Public Safety Department is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Police Officers. Successful applicants will be required to pass a
South Carolina LE1 certified candidates preferred. Officers certified in other states are also encouraged to apply.

Starting Salary for SC LE1 certified applicants is $60,047.27 including $3,422.36for 11 paid holidays. Certification stipend bonuses are available for up to $14,250 annually for additional certifications possessed or obtained during employment i.e firefighter, EMS, Instructor, water rescue, DRE, etc. Overtime opportunities available upon completion of field training.
