This position partners with our Financial Advisors to serve our clients’ investment management needs, executing trades with precision and delivering a consistently exceptional client experience.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to client portfolio success in a collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to integrity and excellence. We are looking for candidates that have a proven track record of educational and professional achievements as well as a commitment (and genuine passion) to provide exceptional service to clients in a fiduciary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily activity, including reconciling current client transactions, funding transfers, and the previous day’s activity to ensure complete accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

  • Execute same-day transactions across all trade directions submitted by Advisors, including buys, sells, and exchanges in equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, and other securities.
  • Perform daily trade execution and portfolio rebalancing for client accounts in alignment with investment objectives, risk tolerances, and approved strategies.
  • Run advance cash reports to support fee billing processes, identify cash needs or surpluses, and manage liquidity requirements effectively.
  • Ensure all trade-related matters, documentation, notes, and client requests are accurately entered and updated in the CRM (Salesforce) for compliance and audit readiness.
  • Implement, monitor, and analyze investment strategies for client portfolios based on stated objectives, making tactical adjustments as needed while minimizing market impact.
  • Monitor portfolios for rebalancing triggers, drift from target allocations, tax considerations, or other events requiring action using trading platforms.
  • Assist with pre-trade analysis, block trading (where applicable), post-trade reconciliation, and settlement processes to achieve best execution.
  • Collaborate with Advisors and team members on portfolio proposals, cash management, and ad-hoc requests to support client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of trades, positions, and reconciliations; support data integrity across systems and perform regular audits or checks.
  • Stay informed on market conditions, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure compliance with fiduciary standards and firm policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, economics, mathematics/statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial services and/or investment management required (Experience in an RIA firm or Broker/Dealer environment is strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with CRM and portfolio management software such as Redtail, Orion, Tamarac, Portfolio Center, Morningstar, eMoney, and/or Salesforce is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis), Word, and Outlook.
  • CFA designation or other relevant professional credentials (e.g., Series 7/63, CFP) desired but not required.
  • Strong ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven capability to work independently, including autonomous decision-making on trading execution, rebalancing, or proposals while collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Commitment to fiduciary principles, best execution practices, and delivering high-quality, client-focused service.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000 (annualized)
  • Benefit package includes health (medical, dental, and vision insurance), FSA and/or HSA plans, group and voluntary life/accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, long-term disability insurance (LTD), a 401(k) plan with an enhanced employer match, including pre-tax, Roth and after-tax contributions, as well as generous holiday and paid time off policies.
  • This is an on-site position in our San Diego, CA office; however, we are open to someone working out of our branch office in Denver, CO. A hybrid schedule will be considered following an initial training period.
