Veterinary Assistant (Full-Time)
Harris County, TX | $16.50/hour | Weekly Pay

What You’ll Be Doing:

You won’t just be assisting—you’ll be an important part of the care journey:

  • Support Veterinary Care: Assist with exams, treatments, and routine procedures.
  • Care for Animals Daily: Feed, monitor, and maintain clean, safe enclosures.
  • Ensure Safe Handling: Properly restrain animals during exams and diagnostics.
  • Assist with Medical Tasks: Administer medications and support testing under supervision.
  • Maintain Clinical Standards: Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and sterile.
  • Track Patient Care: Accurately document medical records and observations.
  • Educate & Support: Help guide pet owners on aftercare and responsible ownership.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Experience: At least 1 year in animal care, veterinary, or shelter environments.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • People Skills: Clear communication and strong customer service mindset.
  • Detail-Oriented: Able to stay organized in a fast-moving environment.

  • Tech Ready: Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office.

This is an active, hands-on role in a clinic and shelter setting. Expect:

Physical Expectations:

  • Standing and moving throughout your shift.
